Riverside Inn

I don’t think I could have asked for a better location for my trip to Stowe! Right on the trail for Chase Park, walking distance to restaurants, breweries shopping, and easy access to hiking trails. The owners were friendly and accommodating. This isn’t a fancy resort so the rooms have just what you need!! Including a microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot. Beds were a lil hard and bathrooms old, but would definitely stay here again!

My dad and I stayed here for the British Invasion car show for a few days. Julian the owner was kind, accommodating, and really knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are clean and well put together, and they worked great for the couple days we needed them. Overall the place is run by nice people and the proximity to a nice coffee shop, restaurants, and even some shopping was super convenient.

THANK YOU RIVERSIDE INN!!! My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to Stowe with our dog and booked an AirBnB months ago. When we got to the AirBnB, there were personal health hazards and we needed to leave immediately. Which meant we were searching for a place to stay in Vermont. The day of. During leaf season. It was a nightmare. After searching and searching, I called the Riverside Inn and from the moment the owner answered the phone, I felt hopeful! He was so kind, relaxed, and understanding. He truly empathized with us and our situation and was able to offer us a room for a very reasonable price. He had the room ready for us within twenty minutes. He checks in with the guests each morning and is incredibly accommodating. He cares about his guests and their stories and is conversational, welcoming, and hospitable. We stayed in a room that hasn’t been fully renovated, yet, but it was still an enjoyable stay. The beds/pillows weren’t the most comfortable, but they weren’t terrible.The room was fairly clean and had everything we would need, including a coffee maker! The window looks out over a stream and the inn is within walking distance of many places to eat and is a quick drive to downtown Stowe. There is even a lovely trail right off the property that was great for our dog. They also have a ton of games to play in the common area! If you’re looking for a hospitable, reasonable, and friendly place to stay in Stowe, this is the place! It’s nothing fancy, but it’s got charm and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Riverside Inn!!

We decided to book a very spontaneous ski trip to Stowe. Riverside Inn was showing no vacancy on several booking sites so we called directly and were lucky enough to grab a double queen room in the Motel portion of the establishment. Julian and his wife own the Motel & Inn and were very accomodating to us arriving around 3am in the morning. They don't advertise themselves as a frilly resort, you're paying for what you get which is a bed, bathroom, and a place to crash after a long day of adventuring. The location is literally central to anything you'd want to do around Stowe. Less than a 5 minute drive to the slopes, you really can't beat it. Not to mention, although we ended up staying in the motel, Julian mentioned that the Inn portion of the available rooms was built in 1821 making it an awesome opportunity to experience some of Stowe's history.

Had a wonderful stay beginning to end. The owners were very welcoming, and made us feel at home. The room is comfortable and quiet, far enough from the main road, and the river runs right behind. Close enough to all of the restaurants and shops without the congestion. The 3 of us and our traveling conure, Taco, loved our stay!

My husband and I needed to get off the LT and headed here for a night. The owners were SO nice and very accommodating to a couple of tired and stinky hikers. They really went above and beyond for us. The room was great and clean, soft beds. All at an amazing price for the area. Highly recommended and we would absolutely stay here again. Lot of great places to eat too.

I wanted to stay at a place that was central to all of the hiking I was hoping to do. The Riverside Inn was perfect! Julian was incredibly helpful and friendly both over the phone and in person. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Julian went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The room had all of the amenities I needed, and it's very close to all the cute shops in Stowe.

Perfect location, right on the bike path, with lots of restaurants walkable from the front door. We also really appreciated the owner Kay (spelling?) who was very welcoming and helpful. Our family of 5 loved the spot and had a great time. Thank you!!
